All this for £13.50. Thats not a bad price at all, considering you effectively get it free if you complete it. Its hard to tell from the picture how much chips and curly fries there are. At £13.50 though, I wasn’t expecting much.
So I decide to go just one afternoon for a late lunch. I was a bit hung over and had breakfast but was feeling hungry. Well, at least I thought I was.
It does look perfectly doable. There are a fair few chips there but not a ridiculous amount. The hot sauce on the chips and onion rings was OK. It wasn’t too hot. The pulled pork was hidden in between the onion rings.
So I start the challenge as I always do. I tackle the burger in stages. I take off the onion rings where the pulled pork is hidden. I get through them fine but leave the pulled pork for later. I tackle the chicken breasts next which attacking a few of the chips. This is when disaster struck. I started to feel full and not even touched any of the burger patties. I power on and manage a patty and start eating the burger in the bread cake. Thats when I throw in the towel. I’d still have loads of chips and curly fries to eat and the burger was tough going.
I am not best pleased when I give up but didn’t see any point in eating for another 10 minutes just to fail. The best comment I got was “the only thing you nearly finished was the coke!” And yes, I was really that upset. I think its time to dig out the Rocky 4 soundtrack and get training. I think this challenge is perfectly doable. I’ve failed some before and thought, ‘never’ but this one is within my limits.
Looking on their Facebook page page I am the 4th failure out of 4 attempts.
If you want to have a try, here are the details.

Hi Ben,
This is Ashley Chan, a student journalist from Sheffield. I am currently doing a project on food challenges. I have seen you posting blog posts on how you tackle a lot of challenges in different restaurents. Would you mind if we arrange an interview to talk about this?
Cheers,
Ashley
