New Flaming Grill Steak Challenge, 32oz 1

I’ve done the previous 24oz steak challenge. Was pretty straightforward. Its to be expected though as the gold standard for a steak challenge is 72oz. I didn’t have that much high hopes for a challenge at 32oz either.

At £19.99 its not bad value either. An 8 ounce rump costs about a tenner usually so getting 4 time as much for double the price is great.

I upgraded my chips to sweet potato fries. I have been piling on the pounds doing the eating challenges and going low carb when possible keeps the fat off.

32oz streak

It was a bit bigger than I imagine but still quite easy. Sweet potato fries made a nice change. Not sure whether that altered the difficulty but unless it quadrupled the amount of volume, it wouldn’t have made any difference. I munched through it all at a leisurely pace and did it in about 18 minutes. On the Flaming challenge website, the top time is a mere 10 minutes 3 seconds. That the thing I like about this challenge, there’s no time limit so you can just enjoy the food.

So after I am done, I think I can do more. I see this and think I can will have a dessert.

£9.99 for a mountain of sweet

When it came out, it was a bit bigger than I thought.

I still managed to get through that though. Was quite hard at the end but as it was so nice, I just kept going.

The flaming grill challenges are possibly my favourites. They are hard enough but not too hard that everyone fails. You don’t get anything free but if you sign up to their mailing list, you get 20% off your food bill so you can get the steak or trash can challenge for just £16.

The one I did it in was the Ridgeway Arms.

If you have a competitive streak, then you can upload your times to the challenge website.

I want to try a 72 oz steak but understand the last 1/4 is very hard psychologically.
